What is RSA IBT 2?

RSA IBT 2 can be used as an initial qualification for candidates who are already computer literate, or as a follow on qualification for those who wish to progress from RSA CLAIT. It assesses the candidate's ability to use some of the functions of software in current use in business through a set of five OCR-set Integrated Assignments which test the following applications:-

Who is the course aimed at?
There are no entry requirements, therefore RSA IBT 2 is suitable for anyone who wants a qualification which will assess and certificate ability to analyse, structure and present information using a number of IT functions.

RSA IBT 2 is an ideal follow on qualification for candidates who have already achieved RSA CLAIT, as it allows them to build on previously developed skills. It is generally recognised that an RSA Stage 2 qualification indicates a candidate's sound understanding and competence in the subject and is a recommendation for employment.

How am I assessed?
The scheme is assessed through a set of five Integrated Assignments which are set by OCR. As well as assessing the use of Database, Spreadsheet, Word Processing, Graphics, and Integration Of Data, the assignments require the candidate to analyse and select specified data from source documentation.

The assignments include a scenario which describes a realistic business situation. Each individual Assignment then addresses a part of the overall task through an IT function. The outcome of the final assignment is an integrated document which contains all specified information selected from various applications displayed to a specified layout.
